This annual fundraiser is held each year at the University of Regina in conjunction with the Business Student’s Society at the Paul J. Hill School of Business. 5 participants sleep outside for 5 nights, giving up many luxuries such as cell phones, clean clothing, showers, and regular access to meals, in an effort to open the conversation about the causes of homelessness while raising funds for the day-to-day operations at Carmichael Outreach.
The pandemic has presented new challenges to us all, and these challenges have also affected the “in-person” component of the 5 Days for The Homeless event. We are very thankful that the Hill Business Students Society decided to partner with Carmichael Outreach yet again, and that they developed “Project Live for 5”, a 5 evening live stream that raised money to support our operations.
Through the amazing work of the Hill BSS, Munz Media, host Mark Johnston, and all of the amazing guest speakers/donors/sponsors, over $30,000 (!!) was raised to support Carmichael Outreach’s operations. THANK YOU SO MUCH for the support during these unprecedented times.
